Brazil is a land of diversity. The topography varies from mountains to beaches, rain forests to sand dunes, major metropolises to riverbank villages. The population has a large European influence in the south of Brazil because of the Italian and German immigrants, African influence on the east coast and northeast because of the slaves who were brought there from Africa and Indigenous Indian influence in the north.
